Slight Hiccup With The Forums Posted by: voice
So it seems that due to a issue with the email server people who were trying to register on the forums were unable to complete their registration as the confirmation emails never got mailed out. This was corrected last night after it was brought to my attention but on the odd chance that someone was actually trying to register and was unable to this is a posting to let you know that registration should be working properly now. Sorry for the inconvenience. Just brings home the point that if there is a issue letting me know will more than likely resolve the issue rather than waiting for it to get fixed on its own.

RSNTV Updated Posted by: voice
Oh boy another update! I'm really cranking them out. Anyways this latest update was made to RSNTV, I've updated flowplayer to the latest release and I've decided to use some of it's features to scale a video to fit the player while preserving the aspect ratio. So there you go, enjoy! ;)

UPDATE
Seems I'm on a roll with all this updating stuff, throughout the day I've made some minor fixes to the website including redoing the way the news page works, instead of a big chunk of news postings it will now display only 5 at a time and allow you to search back for the older posts. I've also moved the little pointless message thing from the title bar back to the bar just under the site's banner just like old times, fear not, however, as I have left marquee out of it this time :P

Also, upped the upload max for RSNTV videos to 75MB, just putting that out there. :geek:

Small Update Posted by: voice
Hello once again people. Just a minor site update to announce, the Chat Now! link instead of opening up the web irc client will now take you to a page explaining the channel rules, what clients you may want to use, and info about using the SSL feature of the IRC network RSN's channel is on. Oh, and the link to the web chat is on that page. Woooo.

Small Tweaks To The Site Posted by: voice
I seem to be a roll, albeit tiny, in terms of working on the site lately. Some quick changes I made was changing the date display, I'm sure no one gave a damn what time it was over on the east coast of the US, so I did away with that and its just your normal run-of-the-mill date, I also got rid of the redundant links in the top part of the website, you're welcome. Also I made two tweaks to the RSNTV section. First, I've upped the max filesize you can upload from 40MB to 50MB, seems fair to me; Second, I know the RSNTV logo vid is a bit longer than it should be and I'm too lazy to whip up a new one, so to try to make peace with you guys I've upped the number of videos from one to two before you see the video again. I seriously wish the flash player I used would just have a loop single item option but it doesn't so we're stuck with what we got.

Anyways, although minor I hope these fixes make you folks happy, until the next update...courage.

Oh, before I forget, shoutout to our newest hostee, Sonic Team's Secrets, an offshoot of The Orange Crazy-Awesomeness Show. Give'em a visit why don't you?

And Now A Quck Update Posted by: voice
Hey everyone, its been a while since I last updated you people on whats new with RSN. I the only thing really new is the fact that I've made it so you can upload videos for use on RSNTV. All you really gotta do is register with the forums and you're on your way. Yes, I know, seems like a cheesy way of boosting numbers, the fact of the matter is I'm just too lazy to write up a whole second authentication system for the site and why do it when theres a perfectly working system already available and integrated into the site?

Anyways, you register, you login, you go to the RSNTV page and click the submit video link at the bottom. At this time you are able to upload videos in a variety of formats, the server attempts to convert the video to a format acceptable by the video player (hint: FLV). Now this doesn't mean you can spam the system with videos, all videos uploaded are not immediately put into rotation and must be reviewed by a staff member before it can be viewed on RSNTV, we can either approve it or delete it from our server. Be warned, repeat offenders will be banned.

RSN - On the cutting edge.....sort of.
